
What began as a Flemish initiative to realize impactful solar energy projects has grown into an international player.


Ecorus was founded in 2010 by two Flemish engineers with a clear mission: to realize solar projects that truly make an impact. With a strong focus on Flanders, they built a solid foundation and brand identity based on technical expertise and returns.
In 2013, they took their first step into the Netherlands with a major project for the Den Helder Housing Association. The success proved the concept was scalable. However, the Dutch market demanded a different approach – the narrative and proposition had to be redefined.
While Flemish customers primarily focused on technology and returns, Dutch customers sought convenience and complete peace of mind. We guided Ecorus in refining their brand promise and developing a go-to-market strategy that addressed this need: support with subsidies, legal procedures, and comprehensive service.


The result was a sharp, relevant proposition that immediately resonated with the Dutch market. With this clear positioning, Ecorus experienced explosive growth, both nationally and internationally, becoming a leading player in large-scale solar energy projects on farmland, commercial buildings, and collective roofs.
